Malcolm was the son of Malcolm Ramsay and Catherine Reilly, born about 4 April 1824 on Prince Edward Island. [1][2]
He was married twice. His first wife was Eunie or Sophie Gardiner[3], and after her death he married Mary Owen. [4].
Malcolm's occupation was carpenter, according to a land agreement he signed with his father in 1849, so he is likely the Malcolm Ramsay, carriage builder, in Montrose in 1871.
His children George Alfred, Clemmie and Mattie went to Chicago, where Malcolm joined them. Malcolm Ramsay, widower, born 1824 on Prince Edward Island, died in Chicago, Illinois on 16 Sep 1907.[5]
