Mary was born 9 May 1706, in Pembroke, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Thomas (Ramsden) Ramsdell (bef.1677-1727) and Sarah (Unknown) Ramsden (abt.1682-1733).[1][2]
Mary Ramsdin and William Cokes were married 16 February 1726, in Scituate, Massachusetts.[3]
She passed away at age 93, on 14 March 1798, in Hanson, Massachusetts.[4] She is buried in Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.[5]
The will of Mary Cocks, of Pembroke, widow of William Cocks, decd., was dated 10 March 1791 with a codicil dated 4 September and proved on 7 May 1798 in Plymouth. She mentioned her children, Seth Cocks, Sarah Record, decd. (grandson: Elisha Record), Ruth, (granddaughters: Ruth and Sarah, Mary, decd. (grandchildren: Mary, Betty, and Deborah), and Rachell, decd. (grandchildren: Rachel, wife of Gideon Barker, and Experience), Lydia, decd. (grandchildren: Lydia, Sarah, Bethiah, and Betty), and Dr. Gad Hitchcock to be her executor.[6]
Her inventory was recorded on 6 August 1798.[7]
In 1799, an account of her estate by Gad Hitchcock was recorded which included the sale of personal and real estate, appraisers, debts paid, and administration fees.[8]
