Mary Jane "Polly" Ramsey, she is said to be the daughter of James Ramsey and Jane "Jennie" McCaslin. She was born 10 July 1791 in NC, died 28 July 1841 in White Co., Tenn. She is buried in the Hill Cemetery in White Co. Tn. She married Samuel Brown, Jr either 1810 or 1808 in Overton Co., Tn. 12 children blessed this union of which their daughter Isabella Brown who was the 2nd wife of William Harden Hill (whose family cemetery Mary Jane and Samuel Brown, Jr. are buried in)
