Biography

Katherine Marjory Ramsey was born in 1874 in Edinburgh, Scotland. She was the daughter of James Ramsey and Charlotte Stewart.

Her Grace, Katharine, Duchess of Atholl, died in Edinburgh, aged 85, in 1960 & is buried in St Bride's Churchyard, Pitlochry.[1]

Marriage

On 20 July 1899 Katherine Marjory Ramsey was married to John Stewart-Murray, Marquess of Tullibardine, who succeeded his father as 8th Duke of Atholl in 1917, where upon she became formally styled as the Duchess of Atholl.
