Biography
Henry Rand Sr. was born about 1661, probably at Lynn, Massachusetts. His marriage record says that he married Mary Crane. However, he probably married her sister Sarah Crane, because all three of the Rand children's birth records (Henry Jr., Sarah, and Mary) give the mother's name as Sarah. It is very unlikely that all three birth records would be wrong.
Henry was probably a son of Robert Rand (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Rand-816 ) of Lynn, Massachusetts. That would explain why Robert's son Zachariah also moved inland to the area of Stow and Marlborough. Henry and his presumed nephew (Zachariah's son Daniel) both married wives who were born in Marlborough. -------Research by Kenneth Kinman
