Biography
Jacob was born in 1778. He passed away in 1840.
140. JACOB-D., son of Thomas (72), born March 30, 1778; cabinetmaker; Hardwick; died October 8, 1840; he was published December 12, 1801, to Esther Doolittle, daughter of Dr. Lucius Doolittle. Her parents prevented the marriage and Jacob enlisted in United States Army. After the surrender at Detroit, by Gen. Hull, in August, 181 2. he returned to Hardwick and consummated the long-delayed marriage, October 21, 1813. Esther died September 2, 1815, and he married, January 27, 1818, Selinda Fales, widow of Hathaway.
