Biography

Florence May Rand was born on 1 April 1916 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia ^[1], the daughter of Thomas Anderson Rand and Annie Maria Knight Thomas Anderson Rand and the sister of Margaret Rand, Clarence Thomas Rand, John Robert Rand and Grace Lillian Rand.

She married Albert Thomas Clive Crawley in 1936 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia ^[2] and their daughter was Mary Josephine (Crawley) Watson.

When Florence died four years before her husband on 19 September 1990 in New South Wales, Australia, she was buried with her husband's sister, Mary Josephine (Crawley) Walton, in the Rookwood Catholic Cemeteries and Crematoria, Rookwood, New South Wales, Australia ^[3].

Note of interest: Florence and her husband Albert appear to have been friends of a lady named Ivy Selman. It would seem that because Florence had been buried with her sister in law, Albert was buried in the same grave as Ivy Selman after his death in 1994.
