Biography
Valerie was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1946.[1] She moved to Canada in 1967 and was employed in the central laboratory of the Toronto General Hospital, for 32 years. She married John Downie about 1982. They moved to Kentville, Nova Scotia in 1998 where she worked as a Ward Clerk in the Valley Regional Hospital from where she retired. Valerie passed away on April 30, 2015.[2]
