DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
Randell-228 and Randell-321 appear to represent the same person because: The descendants of John Randell b.1811 were researched by "scooterboi60" on Ancestry. At the same time I was researching the descendants and parents of Richard Randell (b.1812). The name Moses appears in both trees and attracted our attention. John and Richard are sons of John Moses Randell whom we have succeeded in documenting fairly well. Scooterboi60 had already identified Elizabeth Higgins as a key in person. Randell-228 and Randell-321 are the same person and a merger is appropriate. Cheers. Alan Randell
