Biography

Henry was born in 1845. He was the son of Ruben Randolph and Sarah Bumbalough. He is shown living with his parents and 7 siblings in White Co. Tennessee in 1850 US census.[1] There seems to be a discrepancy in his birthdate. Some family records mention 1842 and in the 1850 census he is listed as 5 years old, making his birth year about 1845. Then in the US 1860 census he is listed as 18 years old.[2]

Henry enlisted in the Civil War on October 30 1864. He was a private in 1st Regiment, Tennessee Mounted Infantry on the Union side.[3] He passed away on January 25 1865 from typhoid fever in a hospital at Butler's Lodge, Tennessee.[4] He is buried in Board Valley Cemetery, Sparta, White Co. Tennessee.[5]
