Henry was born in 1845. He was the son of Ruben Randolph and Sarah Bumbalough. He is shown living with his parents and 7 siblings in White Co. Tennessee in 1850 US census.
There seems to be a discrepancy in his birthdate. Some family records mention 1842 and in the 1850 census he is listed as 5 years old, making his birth year about 1845. Then in the US 1860 census he is listed as 18 years old.
Henry enlisted in the Civil War on October 30 1864. He was a private in 1st Regiment, Tennessee Mounted Infantry on the Union side.
He passed away on January 25 1865 from typhoid fever in a hospital at Butler's Lodge, Tennessee.
He is buried in Board Valley Cemetery, Sparta, White Co. Tennessee.
