Biography

Charles Randolph was born in Kentucky.

Charles B. Randolph was born about May 1837 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, United States. He was the son of Ashford Randolph and Geraldine Oates. In the 1850 U.S. census, Charles, age 13, was recorded living in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, with his parents and siblings.

It's believed, he married Sarah Tyson about 1856, however, a marriage license, nor marriage record has been found. In the 1860 census, Chas, age 24, was recorded living in Muhlenberg County, with wife Sarah, and their two young daughters, Nancy and Eliza.[1] In the 1870 census, Chas, age 34, was recorded living in Muhlenberg County with wife Sarah and their six children. [2]

Charles B. Randolph died 20 August 1916 in Boggess, Muhlenberg, Kentucky. [3][4]

Arthur Lile was the informant listed on his death certificate. It also shows that he was 81 when he died (born 1835), which is discrepant with the May 1837 birth date. Charles was buried 21 August 1916 at Mercer Cemetery in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.[5]
