On 4 Jun 1880 at the time of the 1880 US Census, head of household Thompson Randolph (age 46, born in OH) was employed as a Farmer and living in Butler, Ohio with his wife, Mary A. Randolph (age 46, born in OH); son Clarence Randolph (age 19, born in OH); daughter Mary Randolph (age 15, born in OH); son Walter Randolph (age 14, born in OH); son Irving H. Randolph (age 4, born in OH); sister Ann Randolph (age 74, born in OH); and sister Ruth L. Randolph (age 63, born in OH).
Ruth Lupton Randolph appears to have never married. Census records show she always was living with her parents. The 1880 Census record has her living with her younger step brother Thompson Carroll Randolph.
Both of Thompson's parents were born in Ohio; both of Mary A. Randolph's parents were born in Ohio. [2]
