George was born in 1904, parents James Rankin and Henrietta Coulter. [1] [2]
On 2 April 1911 the Rankin family lived in Wellington Place, Enniskillen South, County Fermanagh. James Rankin (39) Plumber & Henrietta Rankin (28) with Violet Rankin (8), George Rankin (7), Henreitta Rankin (6) & Olive Rankin. [3]
George, aged 22, a commercial salesman from 19 Darling St, Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Ireland departed London, England on 11 November 1926 onboard SS Bendigo. [4] He arrived in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in January 1927.
George Coulter Rankin (26) married Bessie Alice Lee (28) on 5 July 1930 at Petersham All Saints Church, New South Wales by the Rev P J Bizeley, Bessie Alice youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs J J Lee. [5] [6] Parents James & Henrietta Rankin and Joseph James & Rachel Lee.
They lived in Liverpool, New South Wales then in the late 1950s moved to Queensland.
He passed away in 1981, aged 77, and his ashes were interred at Mount Thompson Memorial Gardens, Queensland. [7]
