Biography
John Rankin was born in 1826 in Ballachulish, Argyleshire, Scotland.
He married Sarah Fraser in 1869 in Inverness Shire, Scotland.
After their marriage, John moved to Victoria, Australia, where he worked as a farmer.
He passed away on July 8, 1877 in Learmonth, Victoria, Australia and is buried in the Church of England section of the Learmonth Cemetery.
