RANKIN. — On the 25th September, at his residence, 'Glenree,' Linton, Ewen Rankin, dearly loved husband of Anna Rankin, aged 86 years.[2]
In 1884 Ewan's nephew William Rankin died. William was the second son of the late William Rankin, parish schoolmaster, The Clachan, Kintyre, Scotland, and nephew of W. G. Jackson, Sandhurst. Presumably William Rankin the school teacher is a brother of Ewan Rankin.
