Florence Raper was born in Wroot, Lincolnshire, a small village in Hatfield Marsh northwest of Haxey and west of Epworth: all of these places are described as her origin.

Florence was the eldest child of Isaac Raper and his wife Clara Barr.

Six Children of Isaac Raper

Isaac Raper seems to have six children on marshy farms around Howden, two in Lincolnshire, and the last back in his own home village, Holme on Spalding Moor ^[1]

Florence Raper was a Domestic servant at the age of 14 for James Marshall, 80 Town Street, ^[2]
