DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with April or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with April:
You have me intrigued on Peter Mikesell Peter Mikesell , The other Peter Mikesell in Ohio, https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/54143460/mikesell, I am working on this piece also. I will let you know if I find anything. The whole piece is weird, and all the trees are following suite, besides the SAR records--Yikes what a mess.--Lori
In regard to your post on the Ambrose Dollar profile, Ivy may have been a daughter of Reuben Dollar. Reuben was living in Pendleton District, South Carolina in 1820. There is a female in the family the age of Ivy born about 1816. Reuben moved to Alabama and later to Mississippi where he died at an advanced age. There is also the possibility that Ivy may be a daughter of one of his sons.
Regarding your post back in Jan about having a match to Richard Boone, spouse to Nancy Meese. Indeed he is not related to the Daniel Boone family. That Richard Boone married Lucy Willet. Please see Boone-3405. I just created the profile. It's not clear if you match both, but in my view that would not be possible. That would just be bad genealogy by some of those matchees.
Hi, April - Re: Elijah Lovvorn - It is possible, but I'm still working to document this line, and there are a lot of repeated names thru the generations. However, I just found a terrific resource called "The Loving Family in America" by Carl and May Read, that might be useful to you. Do you know about it? Here's a link to a site where you can actually download it:
No doubt our family trees are connected at one of the branches, but my James Madison Lovvorn was the son of John Lovvorn and Martha Trimble. I am still working to get this stuff uploaded to Wikitree.
HI April, thanks for the DNA connections. I have a cousin that is a descendant of the Samuel Booth family so checked to see if you match on GEDmatch but you did not. Could you send me your cousin's name and GEDmatch kit number so we can see if my cousin matches them on the Booth family?
By the way I am a descendant of John Bellamy however Wikitree doesn't show we are related. It is a bit far back for autosomal DNA. :) I also have a Piatt (not Jacob) in my tree.
Sorry...was on another person's tree and thought the message was for me! But he & I are related and I am having my DNA tested now...so we may be related anyways!
Hi April. I am not sure if Edward "Old Ned" Sizemore, if that's who you are asking about, married a Louanna Bolling. On my family tree (on FamilySearch) it does show he was married more than once, but other than the wife in my line (Elizabeth Rachel Jackson), it doesn't say who that wife was. It does say that they had a child, a son, named John Gourd Sizemore who was born in 1772.
Hi April, please email me at [email address removed] regarding the message about Elizabeth Hunt. I will send you something with which you can determine if she was the father of Jonathan Tipton and perhaps answer your questions regarding the hunts. Will you also please copy and paste your message with the questions to your email to me so I remember what it's all about!? Thanks.
