09 Jul 1608. Robert Windley, of Lenton, Webster and Elizabeth Rasher, of same, widow;[1] married at Lenton, Nottinghamshire. [2][3]
The Windleys were already seated in Accomack Plantation by 1634/5. The following 14 Feb 1634 court deposition of Mary Drew offers proof that the Windleys were present:
Mary Drew aged 27 or thereabouts sworn and examined sayeth that she saw 2 dogs upon a black cow the one was Mr Wilkin's the other Thomas Nuett's dog and that she did what she could to get them off and afterwards she and goodwife Windley went to look for the cow but they could not see her, and this is all this deponent can say.[4]
