Emily was born on the 29th April 1901 in Camborne, Cornwall, England ^[1]. She was the daughter of George Rashleigh and Catherine Bartle. She lived with her parents until she was a young woman ^[2][3].

Emily married Richard H Williams in about October 1925 in Redruth, Cornwall ^[4]. She was 24 years 6 months old. They continued to live in Camborne where they raised their family ^[5].

Emily died in December 1996 in Penzance, Cornwall. She was 95 years 8 months old ^[6]
