He moves to Kenwyn, a parish outside and northwest of Truro, Cornwall sometime before 1841. He lives there for the rest of his life, fathering 8 children. In 1841 he was a post boy; 1861 a beer retailer and in 1871 an Ostler (man employed to look after horses of guests at an inn). In Kenwyn he lived in Fairmantle Street, apart form a brief period in 1861 where he lived more centrally in Truro in King Street. He moved back to Kenwyn by 1871. He died in 1880 aged 71.
