Biography
Ole Martinus Rasmussen Heltne (or Bakke) was born on 18 Jul 1884 in Volda, Møre og Romsdal, Norway, the son of Rasmus Martinus Rasmussen and Susanne Gurine Andersdatter.[1]
In the 1891 census, Ole was listed with his parents, Rasmus and Susanna, and five siblings in Volda.[2]
In the 1900 census, Ole was a farm worker in the household of Rasmus R. Halkjelsvik in Volda.[3]
Ole married Hanna Pauline Pedersdatter Solholmvik on 3 Jan 1909 in Aukra.[4] Their children were:
- Rikard (Olsen) Skogly (1909 - 1997)
- Helga Klarise (Olsdatter) Hoel (1911 - 1943)
In the 1910 census, Ole lived at Skogly in Bolsøy with his wife Hanna Pedersen, stepson Peder Hartvik Johanson, and son Rikard Olsen.[5]
In the 1920 census, Ole worked as a stone worker and lived at Skogly in Bolsøy with his wife Hanna and three children: Hartvik, Helga, and Rikart.[6]
He passed away on 23 Jan 1951 in Molde aged 66.[7]
