Marie Clemence Rassicot was born on 1 Mar 1795 in Ascension Parish, Louisiana^[1], daughter of Jean François Rassicot and Marie Josephe (Robichaux) Robichaud. Her baptism was 19 Jun 1795 at present-day Donaldsonville, Ascension, Louisiana, sponsored by Luis Judice, Commandant of the District & Maria Robichaux. Her birth name is given the Spanish spelling of "Maria Clemencia". ^[2]

On Dec 1795, "Clementa Rassicau" is a 9-month old baby living with her family along Bayou Lafourche in Louisiana.^[3]

Marie Clemence married Edouard Bergeron in 1814 in Louisiana as we know through other records, but a marriage records hasn't been found. Their children were:
