  • 1850 Census, Manchester, Dallas County, Arkansas, Jno Ratcliff age 16, father, Samuel Ratcliff 45, stepmother Emily 28. His mother had died.
  • 1870 Census, Manchester, Dallas County, Arkansas, Jno M. Ratcliff 37,born South Carolina, married to Mary P. age 26 born Georgia, with Sissy P. 18, Calip F 5, Douglas C 3, Henry 6 months, all children born Arkansas, and Lafayette Ratcliff 19 born Arkansas, could be brother or cousin.
  • 1880 Census Manchester. Dallas County, Arkansas, John M. Ratcliff age 48, Mary P 37, with Cicily I. 18, Caleb 15, Douglas C. 13, Joseph H. 10, Minnie E. 5, Jon . 2.
  • Arkansas marriage records show after Mary P. Cook died in 1890, J. M. Ratcliff married Mittie L. King on 1-10-1893 from Dalark, Dallas County, Arkansas and died shortly after.
  • He is buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mannine, Dallas County, Arkansas.
