Pauline was born Alwine Pauline Rau in about January 1865, the daughter of Carl and Eleonore Rau.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Pauline was married to Robert Welburn on the 18th of December 1889 at the Adelaide registry Office. [8]

Death of Mrs. Welburn
Tho death occurred to-day of Mrs. Pauline Alwine Welburn
at the age of 67 years and ll months at the residence of her
daughter, Mrs. W. Thone, at 308 Patton-street.
Mrs. Welburn had resided here for over 40 years.
She leaves a grownup family of one daughter, Mrs. W. Thone,
and three sons, Messrs. Syd.. Abe, and Herbevt Welburn.
The funeral will take place to-morrow,
leaving 308 Patton:streot at 4 p.m.
Mrs. Welburn's remains will be interred in the General
Cemetery in the same grave ns her husbnnd, Robert Welburn,
who died "in 1917.
Fred J. Potter and Son have charge of the funeral arrangements.

late beloved MOTHER and GRANDMOTHER
(Pauline Alwine Welburn) will be interred in
the General Cemetery TO-MORROW
(Saturday), the Funeral leaving her
daughter's (Mr. W. Thone) residence,
308 Potton-street, South Broken Hill,
at 4 p.m., arriving at the Cemetery
at 4.30 p.m.
