I have a lot of family photos of the Rawlstons (Raulston) from the era. Now, I think I know one reason. Zachary Taylor Rawlston (how he spells Raulston--I know this because I have several of his rubber stamp imprints on the photos with his address) was a photographer. I googled the rubber stamp which said: FROM Z.T.RAWLSTON, Hixson, R.F.D. No. 1 (rural free delivery) and up popped an add in a journal from the Photographers' Association of California...Camera craft - Volume 21 - Page 48
