Johann Peter Rauscher was born on 18 Mar 1697 in Hambach, Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France. His parents were Conrad Rauscher (1659 - 1730) and Anna Barbara Graesel (1676 - 1716).
Johann married Margaretha Elisabetha Becker (1696 - 1742) on 14 Jan 1721 in Hambach. Their daughter was Christina (Rauscher) Holtzapfel (1718 - 1793).
Johann died on 2 Apr 1771 in Hambach aged 74.
