The death occurred suddenly yesterday of Mr. Alfred Richard Rawlins at tho age of 70 years. He was born at Caltowie, South Australia, and had been a resident of Silverton from a lad, being engaged as a carter and contractor. He leaves a widow and grown-up family of four sons, Messrs. Clifford, Vernon, Erle and Chesney (RAAF), and two daughters, Mesdames C. Johnson and K. Burton. He was a member of the IOR Lodge, Silverton. The funeral takes place tomorrow, leaving the residence of his son, Mr. Erle Rawlins, at 458 Chappie Street, at 4 pm.. the Interment being in the Methodist Cemetery. Fred J. Potter & Son have charge of the funeral arrangements.
