Hannah was born 10 October 1653, the daughter of Edward Rawson and Rachel Perne.[1] The record of her christening said she was" the daughter of Edward Rawson of Newbury." It was thought that Edward had moved to Boston in 1650; however, this record indicates that he may have still had a home in Newbury at this time, so there is a chance Hannah might have been born in Newbury. There is a letter from Edward Rawson dated August 1653 that states he was then in residence at Newbury.
