Henry was born in 1829 in Middlesex, England. He was the son of [Ray-10902|Henry Ray] and [Singer-1870 Mary Singer]. He enrolled in the Royal Navy, 9 May 1849, Rank 2nd Master. Reference: ADM 196/76/300 Held by: The National Archives, Kew. He emigrated on 4 Aug 1853, arriving at Melbourne, Australia aboard the "Bore", which departed from Rio de Janeiro. He Married Maria Josephine Brooke (nee LePlastrier), 8 Jul 1858 • Christ Church St Kilda, Victoria, Australia. The Argus, Melbourne; Friday 9th July, 1858. On the 8th inst., at Christ Church, St. Kilda, by the Rev. J. H. Gregory, He passed away on 6 Aug. 1879 at Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia.
