When Ethel Nancy Ray was born on May 6, 1912, in Linn Creek, Missouri, her father, Issac, was 36, and her mother, Bertha, was 30. She had seven children with Edgar Allen Dick and three children with Edgar Allen Dick. She died on July 28, 1978, in Kansas at the age of 66, and was buried in Perry, Kansas.
