On John Thomas Jones' death certificate, his mother is listed as a Ray. The first name looks like Ione or Jane. I think it's probably Ione since John Thomas Jones named one of his daughters Iona.
The record says Jane and so does the translation. It is not Iona. See below.
Ray has often had various spellings included but, not limited to Ray, Rey Rea, Rhea, Wray, Wrey, etc.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jane by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jane:
