Biography
When William Shaw Raymond was born on December 8, 1807, in Plymouth, Massachusetts, his father, George, was 25 and his mother, Priscilla, was 23. He married Mary C. Churchill on October 25, 1829 in Plymouth, Massachusetts;[1] she died between 1850 & 1860, probably in Montgomery County, Illinois. He then married twice-widowed Sarah Jane (Ripley) Tillson Brailey[2] (1827-1900) on October 27, 1864, in Plymouth, Massachusetts.[3] He died on January 21, 1869, in his hometown[4] at the age of 61.[5]
