Benjamin Raymond born to William and Deborah (Balch) Raymond December 7, 1714, was born in Beverly, Essex, Massachusetts.[1] He was a set work cooper. He married Mercy Chapman daughter of James and Joanna (Whitcomb) Chapman November 17, 1737 at Rochester.
Benjamin removed to Hardwick after 1760, where he died October 2, 1779; Mercy died there May 26, 1806 at 86.
He appears on the 1771 tax lists for Hardwick, Massachusetts.[2]
