Blue Earth Cemetery, Blue Earth, MN; m. at age 18 yrs., Steven Goodrich, b. 7 Oct 1822, d. 14 Jul 1910, a sailor in the Merchant Marines. Steven and Polly moved to Minnesota where they were farmers. Polly Lavina Raynor, daughter of Jonathan Hallock Raynor and Huldah Robinson, was born on 27 Aug 1827 in Eastport, Suffolk, New York where she married in about 1844 ^[2] Stephen Beriah Goodrich; son of Josiah Goodrich and Betsey Greenleaf then of Groton, Tompkins, New York and a sailor in the Merchant Marines since about 1842; through which Stephen found his way from upstate New York to Long Island and met and married Polly.

Stephen and Polly had 7 children; ^[3] born 1845-1874: Mary Jane b. 1845, Ada Anna b. 1849, Emma Elizabeth b. 1854, Stephen Amos (known as Amos) b. 1857, and Susan Minerva b. 1862 were born in Eastport, and after the family relocated to Barber, Faribault, Minnesota in 1868 and filed in 1869 a US Homestead Act claim on 80 acres that was granted in 1876, sons Webster Grant b. 1870 and Edwin Preston b. 1874 were born in Barber 1870-1874, where Polly died on 16 Jan 1906. ^[4]
