Laura was born 6/4/1866 in Maryland. She was the daughter of James Rea and Emma Kennard. In 1870 and 1880 Laura was living with her parents and siblings in Cecil, Maryland where her father was a stonemason. In 1900 Laura was working as a servant in the household of Howard Coates in Little Britain, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Laura married Thomas Johnson on 8/12/1903 in Fremont, Chester County Pennsylvania. Laura and Thomas settled in Nottingham, Chester, Pennsylvania where Thomas worked in a quarry, was a merchandise clerk and also worked as a gardener. Laura was widowed in 1934. She died 2/5/1936 and is buried with family members in the Fremont Union Cemetery in Nottingham, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
