Biography

Elizabeth was born in 1815. ^[1]

On 8th July 1840, Elizabeth Read married David Holland at the Parish Church, Geldeston, Norfolk. Both were single, of full age, and living locally. David, A Labourer, said his father was John Holland, Labourer. Elizabeth said her father was a Labourer, too, but didn't give his name. She said both of her parents were dead. The Established Church ceremony was performed by John Lewis before witnesses James Read and Susan Read. Of the bridal party, only Susan was able to sign the register, the rest gave their mark. ^[2]
