birth & death info. She was appointed administratrix of Samuel's estate in Aug 1777. She filed a claim for his clothing and accoutrements (from his death in the service of his country) which is also on file in the CT Archives and bears the following endorsement: "Alld Wid. Abig Munro punds 12-11-6 March 7, 1778 Loss Ward's Regt" Afterwards she and hers sons Isaac, Leonard and William moved to Chenango Co., NY, where she died and was buried beside her son William. The headstone marking her grave bears this inscription: "In memory of WIdow Abigail Monroe, died June 4, 1817 in the 95 year of her age".
