Biography

William Henry Reagan, Sr. was born December 4, 1797, in Tennessee, a son of John Reagan and Martha Black. On December 6, 1821, in Blount county, Tennessee, William married Margaret Carnard. ^[1]

Six of William and Margaret's children were born in Blount county, Tennessee, before they became early settlers in the young state of Missouri. The Missouri territory came to the United States as part of the 1803 Louisiana Purchase. Missouri became a state on August 10, 1821. Dade county, Missouri where they pioneered, was created 29 January 1841. Non-County Areas 29 and 32 were under the Military and Administrative Control of Barry County and Polk County.

• William Henry Reagan, Jr. was born in Dade county, Missouri on Christmas Eve, 1840 (the county becoming official a month later). He died February 27, 1924, in Stroud, Lincoln county, Oklahoma. ^[2]
