Sarah was born about 1838.
Research Notes
The original information in the profile had Sarah listed as being born around 1855 or before 1855. The information also had this Sarah as the mother of Sarah Shaw; however, Sarah Reaves Shaw was also born around 1855. Therefore, it is unlikely that this Sarah Reaves is the mother of Sarah Elizabeth Reaves Shaw. The 1850 Census lists a Sarah for Nathan Reaves, and the 1860 lists a Sarah for James Washington Reaves. There are also the marriage record from 1856 and the death certificate for Nancy Stroud that points towards Sarah's maiden name also being Reaves. If anyone has information disproving this connection, please let me know through email or a comment.
