Bio: Mrs. Sarah Jane Haney, died at the home of her son-in-law, Silas Thomas, who lives near Mt. Etna, May 5, 1907, aged 80 years, 1 month, and 23 days. The deceased was born in Belmont County, Ohio, March 12, 1827, and was married to James Haney, March 26, 1848, and to this union was born nine children, seven of whom survive her, Mr. Drusilla Gilmore, Lincoln, Nebraska; Mrs. E. J. McCullough, Los Angeles, California; R. F. Haney, Lenore, Oklahoma; Mrs. L. M. Thomas, Mt. Etna, Iowa; Mrs. Ella Roberts, Carbon, Iowa; Mrs. Ida Bugg and Mrs. Eva B. Perigon, Hennessey, Oklahoma, and the families of W. S. Haney, Glenwood, Iowa and Mrs. Alice A. Standiferd, Reading, Kansas, C. P. Rector of Lincoln, Nebraska, a brother of the deceased came Tuesday to attend the funeral. The funeral services were held at the M. E. Church in Quincy, of which deceased was a member, at 11 o’clock Tuesday, May 7, conducted by Rev. A. Y. Cupp and interment made in the Oakland Cemetery by the side of her husband.
