Calvin Rector, born Dec. 1899, appears in the 1900 census in Cumberland County, Tennessee in the household of his parents John and Nancy Rector. The census record shows that John was born in Tennessee in Oct. 1859, that his parents were both born in Tennessee, and that he married in 1881. The record gives the names of John and Nancy's children as William, Marion, Elice, Arthur, Mary B., Rena, Martha, Cora and Calvin.[1](The 1880 census shows that John Rector, son of William and Sarah, had a brother Calvin.)
Calvin Rector, age 10, appears in the 1910 census in Cumberland County, Tennessee in the household of his parents John A. Rector (age 51, b. Tenn., parents b. Tenn.) and Nancy J. Rector (age 50, b. Tenn., parents b. Tenn).[2]
