Robert Baker married Frances Redd in Cadiz on December 5, 1823.[1] Frances, who was born April 14, 1802 and died January 29, 1829, is buried in the Redd Burying Ground, east of Cadiz. Robert was a wealthy merchant, hotel-keeper, and the owner of a successful sawmill and gristmill on Little River. Robert's son Robert D. Baker also grew rich in the merchant's trade in Cadiz. According to Cyrus Thompson, Robert D. Baker moved to Louisiana in the 1860s.[2]
Frances is buried in Redd Cemetery, Trigg County, Kentucky. [3]
