In 1800 lived in Swellendam. In 1801 lived in Riviersonderend. Johannes Hermanus en Johanna Hermina de Vries het tien kinders gehad. Drie van hulle was seuns. Al die Redelinghuyse in Suid-Afrika stam van een van hierdie stamvader se drie seuns af. Die derde kind uit hierdie huwelik was Johannes Hermanus, gebore 1760 en gedoop 29 Augustus 1762. Hierdie voorvader was ‘n burger te Stellenbosch, ‘n vername wynboer asook lid van die kerkraad en van die Stellenbosch Burgerdragonders. In 1800 was hy woonagtig in Swellendam en in 1801 te Rieviersonderend. Hy is op 18 Maart 1787 met Cornelia Linde getroud (gedoop 26 Julie 1767). Sy was die sesde kind van H J Linde wat in 1753 met die skip Leiden aan die Kaap arriveer het assoldaat in diens van die VOC. Hy het later ‘n wamaker geword. Hy was getroud met C E Swart en hulle was die stamouers van die Linde-familie in Suid-Afrika. Johannes Hermanus en Cornelia Linde het tien kinders gehad. Hul agste kind, Matthys Johannes, word geag as die familiehoof van die Magaliesburg-Redelinghuyse. Hy is op 19 April 1802 te Stellenbosch gedoop. [citation needed] [3]
