Biography
On 14 Oct 1841 in TN,Meigs-Co he married Elizabeth W. RAGLAND (daughter of Artumisissa WILSON & Gideon RAGLAND of Virginia) & they had 4 children. His first wife died on 8 April 1855.
On 20 October 1860 Nelson & Mary B. PORTER applied for a marriage application in TN,Roane-Co but no record of solemnization was found.
On 11 Jun 1861 he married Martha "Patty" Ann CADE=CATE & they had 6 children.
During the Civil War he served in Company F, GILLESPIE's 43rd Regiment, Tennessee Volunteer Infantry, Confederate Army.
He died in 1900 & was buried at TN,McMinn-Co,County-Road#36,Spring-Creek-Campground-Cemetary (with CSA on his gravestone).
