Mrs. Archie Tucker Dies, Services Set Tuesday Afternoon
Mrs. Archie Tucker, 72, a life-long resident of Plymouth county, died Saturday noon, Oct. 25, 1952 at the Sacred Heart hospital following an illness of two weeks.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Luken's funeral home. The Rev. Ward Campbell will conduct the services. Burial will be in the city cemetery.
Six grandsons will be the pallbearers: Merlin, Eldon and Arnold Tucker and Alfred Jenkins of Sioux City; Marvin Singer, LeMars and Archie Singer of Merrill.
Mrs. Maude Tucker was born in America township, Plymouth county, Feb. 18, 1880. She was married to Archie Tucker Feb. 12, 1901 in the home of her parents.
They farmed until 1946 when they retired and moved to LeMars. Her husband preceded her in death, Jan. 1, 1952. She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Nick (Lucille) Singer of Merrill and one son, Elmer Tucker of Sioux City. Also eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
