Elizabeth (Redmond) Davine was born in Ireland about 1830. Daughter of Michael Redmond and Sarah Murphy.

Miles Davin married Eliza Redmond on 30 August 1847 at Avoca, Wicklow, Ireland. [1]

Myles emigrated to Australia with wife Eliza and son Patrick on board the America, arriving in Geelong, Victoria on 4 May 1854. Engaged by Felix Mulholland, Sth. Geelong for 120 Pounds for 12 months. [2]

The Davin family settled in Collingwood, Victoria.

Husband Myles passed away in 1871.

Widow Eliza Davine married widower Henry Leeson on 20 January 1875 at the St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Richmond, Victoria. [3]

Husband Henry passed away in 1881.

She passed away at Clifton Hill in 1919, aged 89.[4]

DAVINE.- On the 19th January, at the residence of her daughter (Mrs. Heffernan), Ramsden street, Clifton Hill, Elizabeth Davine, mother of Patrick, Elizabeth, Milo, and Hugh, in her 90th year. A colonist of 65 years. (Privately interred Melbourne General Cemetery, January 20.) May her soul rest in peace.

She was buried at the Melbourne General Cemetery - R.C. "F" grave 739.[6] [7]
