Isaac Reed, Sr. was born in 1774, a son of Hezekiah and Deborah (Tirrel) Reed. In 1803, Isaac married Sally Stetson and lived in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Children of Isaac and Sally are:

• Sally Reed, born October 22, 1803, in Bridgewater, Plymouth, Massachusetts, ^[1] died February 24, 1869, unmarried, in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. ^[2]

• Isaac Reed, Jr. born January 26, 1805, died in 1870, first married December 18, 1831, an unknown wife, who died in 1844. Isaac married secondly, in 1849 to Sarah Porter, lived in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts

• Nahum Reed, born December 15, 1806, died October 27, 1872, married Maria Witherell on October 6, 1840, lived in Whitman, Massachusetts
