Jacob Perkins married as his second wife, Keziah Reed, of Middleborough, on 20 Apr. 1820 in Middleborough.[164] They were living in Middleborough in the 1820,[165] 1830,[166] and 1840 federal censuses,[167] where he was a farmer. She supposedly died on 10 July 1844 in “Titicut Parish,” Middleborough

Jacob Perkins had another son by Keziah Reed, his second wife:

• Jacob L. Perkins, born in the early 1820s, was called the sole heir of the deceased when he was granted administration of his father’s estate in 1846.
