Birth and Parents

Hannah (Proctor) Richardson was born in Massachusetts.

Hannah, the fifth of seven children of James Proctor and Judeth Nichols was born on 2 may 1727 at Woburn, Massachusetts.^[1]

Marriage and Children

Hannah married Joshua Reed (1724-1786), the son of Ralph and Mary (Pierce) Reed on 9 July 1742 at Woburn, Massachusetts. They had ten children born at Woburn, Massachusetts:

Research notes

• This profile originally listed James Richardson as a second spouse married in 1749. This is an apparent error given that she married Joshua Reed in 1742 at Woburn. The youngest of their ten children was born in 1768 and Hannah died in 1774. Hence, it is highly unlikely that this is the Hannah Proctor who was married to a James Richardson (1729-1795).

• Notably, in FamilySearch, this Hannah (Proctor) Reed has a sister listed also named Hannah (b. 28 Jan 1727, Charlestown, MA; d. 11 Aug 1811); however, this Hanna's parents are listed as Daniel and Mary Reed.^[13] Apparently, this Hannah (Reed) Richardson was conflated with the other family. This Mary Reed wed James Richardson on 12 February 1749 at Woburn^[14]For these reasons, James Richardson has been detached as a husband to Hannah (Proctor) Reed.
