When Cora Reed and her twin sister Ora were born on February 12, 1882, in Whitfield, Georgia, their father, Andrew, was 41 and their mother, Dorcas, was 33. She married Harrison Kye Chaney on June 2, 1900, in Temple, Texas. They had nine children in 19 years. She died on January 13, 1968, in Temple, Texas, at the age of 85, and was buried in Moody, Texas.
